Seller Verification & Eligibility

Last Updated: March 29, 2026

Verified seller badge

What this badge means

The Nsikacart verified seller badge shows that a seller has passed our current trust thresholds, completed email verification, and has been manually reviewed by the Nsikacart team.

The badge is a trust signal, not a guarantee of item quality or transaction outcome. Buyers should still inspect items carefully and follow the platform safety guidelines.

Email Verified account email is required before the badge can be granted.
3 ratings At least 3 buyer ratings on the seller account.
5 listings At least 5 public listings that are active or sold.
20 interactions At least 20 marketplace interactions across the seller's listings.

1. Current Eligibility Requirements

The seller verification system is currently based on the following public minimums:

  • Email verification: The seller must complete account email verification first.
  • Buyer ratings: The seller must have at least 3 buyer ratings.
  • Public listings: The seller must have at least 5 public listings with status marked active or sold.
  • Marketplace interactions: The seller must have at least 20 interactions across listings, including discovery activity such as requests, clicks, and saves.

These are the current thresholds as of March 29, 2026. Nsikacart may update them as the marketplace evolves.

2. How Review Works

  1. The seller completes email verification and continues building normal marketplace activity.
  2. Once the account meets the current trust thresholds, the seller becomes eligible for verification review.
  3. Nsikacart admins or monitors review the account history, listing quality, buyer trust signals, and any safety concerns before granting the badge.
  4. The badge may be granted, delayed, or withheld if the account still raises trust or policy concerns.

Verification is not automatically guaranteed the moment the numbers are met. Final approval remains a manual trust decision by Nsikacart.

3. Keeping the Badge

Sellers who receive the badge are expected to keep meeting marketplace standards. Nsikacart may remove the badge if a seller:

  • Publishes misleading or low-trust listings.
  • Receives repeated valid complaints or report findings.
  • Violates the Marketplace & Vendor Policy or Trust & Safety Guidelines.
  • Shows behavior that undermines buyer confidence or marketplace safety.

4. What Sellers Should Do Next

If you want the verified seller badge, focus on the signals that the system actually uses:

  • Verify your email as soon as you create your account.
  • Keep at least 5 honest, well-presented public listings live or completed.
  • Encourage real buyers to rate their experience after legitimate interactions.
  • Use accurate pricing, clear descriptions, and professional communication.
  • Read and follow all marketplace and safety policies consistently.
